Discounts and Fees
Students enrolling in 3 or more classes receive a 15% discount per class on the 3rd and subsequent 1 hour classes on an individual student basis.  The listed price of the Intensive Training Programs have already been discounted by 20%. Any ITP student that enrolls into any class above the set course is also entitled to a 20% discount. Discounts do not apply to solo/duet or trio classes.

Fees are due before the first class of each term or month.  Monthly payment options include automatic withdrawal and pre-authorized credit card transactions. Term and annual payment options include cash, Visa, MasterCard, debit, cheque and pre-authorized credit card transactions. Any student who withdraws from classes before the third class will receive a refund for the remainder of the term.  After the third class no refunds will be made for that term, however, post-dated cheques for subsequent terms will be returned. Anyone withdrawing from classes must inform the office, in writing, 2 weeks prior to the end of the month or term. Failure to do so will result in the next charge on your account. Please keep a copy of your receipts. A $10 surcharge will be added to your account for extra copies.

A charge of $30 will be assessed for NSF cheques.
The cost of costumes, accessories and tickets to performances are extra and non-refundable.

ITP Students
These students participate with the knowledge that they are expected to have full attendance for rehearsals and any events including 2 or 3 spring competitions/workshops.  Failing to attend a scheduled performance could result in dismissal from the class and program with no refunds.  The IT Program is calculated with a “set” tuition with discounts already built in. If a student chooses not to participate in all set classes including the optional class, no further reductions of fees will occur. Extra costumes, shoes, accessories, entry fees, travel costs and ticket prices etc. will be applicable.  An ITP uniform and jacket must be purchased.

Costumes
A $60 + H.S.T. costume deposit per class will be required from every student participating in the year end recital due with the 1st term payment.  Costume deposits are non-refundable after November 26, 2011. The remaining costume balance + H.S.T. will be due with the 3rd term payment.  We do our very best to select appropriate costumes based on the theme of the performance and pricing.  The Barrie School of Dance Inc. does not dictate the price of our costumes. Costume makers, catalogues, seamstresses and shipping charges all affect the price of a costume.  Sizing for students is measured in the winter months and we allow for reasonable growth.  These costumes are NOT custom fit. Costume companies require 4-5 months to fill orders.  Any costume alterations are the responsibility of the student/parent not The Barrie School of Dance Inc. Anyone who registers for class after December 17th will experience a late costume ordering fee and is not guaranteed their costume for picture day or recital.

Holidays
Classes are not held on Thanksgiving weekend, Halloween night, winter holidays, March break, Family Day and Easter weekend. Please check the notice board regularly for reminders. Classes missed due to Holidays may be made up during a regular scheduled class within that term. Speak to your teacher or ask at the office for the most appropriate class to attend.

Missed Classes and Inclement Weather
Classes missed due to illness may be made up within the term, but there will be no refund.  Check with the teacher to determine which class would be an appropriate make-up class. There will be no refund for students that miss 3-6 consecutive classes and later want to resume classes. A student is considered enrolled for classes for the full year after 1st term.   Any classes cancelled due to inclement weather will be re-scheduled or made up within the schedule at a later date or students will be directed to a similar, already scheduled class throughout the week.  If in doubt, please call the school before leaving home.
